Step 1.
Aarons is notified when a death occurs and the deceased is transported to the crematory for refrigeration.
*Refrigeration within 24 hours of death is required by state law
Step 2.
​Our staff works closely with the informant or legally authorized personnel to obtain the essential information needed in order to file the proper papers and permits to carry out the cremation.
Step 3.
​Legally Authorized person signs the necessary forms.
*Only the Next of Kin or legal representative is allowed to sign the cremation authorization. Legal Representatives will be required to show proof of documentation prior to cremation if higher kinship exists.
Step 4.
Social Security is notified, cause of death is obtained from Doctor or Medical Examiner, and the proper approvals are gathered.
Step 5.
Cremation takes place following Medical Examiner Approval.
*State law requires Medical Examiner Approval before the cremation may take place.
Step 6.
​​Urn and death certificates are returned to the family or place designated to receive them.
