On Saturday, July 11, 2020, John Karr, a loving and
devoted Husband, Dad, Papa, Grandfather, Great
Grandfather and friend, passed away at the age of
84.

John was born on June 3, 1936 in Oak Park, Illinois
to his mother Bernice and to his father John.

In John’s early years, he served in the Air Force.
Through his lifetime, he held various positions. John
then retired after 29 years, from the State of Florida
as a South Regional Administrator for Pari-Mutual
Operations in August 2015.

John was known for his quick wit, his infectious
smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He
was always known as the go-to guy.

John was a die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs and Da
Bears. Football in general was his favorite passion.
He also enjoyed cruising through the Caribbean and
trying his luck at different casinos.

John is survived by his wife Pam of over 40 years,
his daughters Barbara/Mike, Debbie, his brother
Bob, his grandchildren Danielle/Rob, Bobby/Ashley,
Tiffany, and Mikey, his great grandchildren Logan,
Evan, and Ella Rose, and several nieces and
nephews.

Due to COVID-19, we regret to inform you that we
are unable to have a memorial service at this time.
