Obituary for Francis Joseph DePalma

Frankie (Francis) DePalma, 57, went peacefully to his Heavenly Father on July 28, 2020 as the result of Covid 19. Frank is survived by his mother, Judy Geada, sister Nancy DePalma, both of Pittsboro, NC, brother Jimmy, of High Point, NC, and many cousins. Frank was an incredible human being, sober in AA for 35 years. A Psych Tech at Imperial Point Hospital for many years, he was known by all as the Karaoke Man. He brought karaoke to his patients at the hospital every week and wrote a program showing the benefits of his music therapy for his patients. He also provided Karaoke for hospital events. Generous of spirit, Frankie never met a stranger. He was loved by all, funny, kind, and wise - knowing when to use each gift to benefit all he encountered. Frank was also known for his cooking prowess, especially the dozens of cookies he shared at many occasions and especially over the Christmas holidays. A memorial service will be held when the dangers of Covid have passed. Please people - end this tragic and senseless loss of life – wear a mask and protect others and yourself.
